StartLogic is one of the biggest shared hosts around, with years of experience. They do offer diverse plans and prices are competitive. Startlogic obviously is looking for large user base to to make sense of their pricing.

Reliability
They offer 99.9% uptime guarantee which is the industry standard for shared hosting, even though rarely would we see hosts actually delivering the same. There has been occasional reports of poor uptime with startlogic, so we decided to test it ourselves. We got a real account with them and started monitoring the uptime using a third party service provider.

The service was started at the end of August 2008 and the initial reports have been excellent. After the first week, uptime from startlogic was the best among all the hosts monitored.

Price Value
Their most popular package, Prologic comes at $3.95 per month. Considering the features, this is pretty cheap. The price is understandably higher for their windows offering at $9.95 per month. Startlogic is definitely cheap, no questions about it.

Control Panel
StartLogic provides vDeck for control panel. While vDeck is a clean, light, easy to use control panel with all basic requirements, it doesn't have all the bells offered in cPanel. But for most webmasters, VDeck is going to be more than enough.

Customer Support
They offer 24/7 Live Technical Support, email and online chat for support. However, there are mixed reviews about the support. Occasionally it is possible that your tickets doesn't get replied as fast as you would want but that is true with most cheap web hosts. On the plus side, they have very nice documentation and troubleshooter.
